NAVIR

Lycée de la mer de Sète

A virtual reality boat simulator in a flight case, designed to introduce maritime rules at trade shows.

The need

Provide a portable simulator that starts quickly and uses physical controls similar to those on modern boats.

The response

NAVIR combines a VR application with dedicated physical controllers. Headset hand tracking and custom calibration align the real joysticks with their virtual representations. Setup takes around three minutes and calibration less than ten seconds.

In use

Users operate physical joysticks that match their representations in the virtual environment. The flight-case format allows the simulator to travel to trade shows.
