Training system

CIFA - IDX Prod

A standalone cabinet designed to record interviews in shot/reverse shot and stream them in real time to a remote control room.

Mobile wooden cabinet with shelves and wheels, topped with a camera arch, in a bright room

The need

Create an easy-to-use training installation for recording conversations or interviews between two people, while allowing external observers to follow the session remotely.

The response

Design and fabrication of a mobile cabinet integrating two cameras, a cardioid microphone and a tablet control interface. The installation records two people in shot/reverse shot and streams the session in real time to a remote control room. The work combines furniture design and modelling, CNC fabrication, camera and microphone integration, control application development and RTMP streaming. The software uses Electron and RTMP, among other technologies.

In use

Two people are filmed in shot/reverse shot. Observers can follow the session from a remote control room, while the recording is used for training.
