The need
M-Wheel Mobility wanted to create a road safety tool that lets users face different riding situations without the risks of real traffic.
The response
A kick scooter installed on a 2DOF moving platform, with force feedback and physical controls. The simulator runs on a screen or in virtual reality. A touchscreen interface lets the trainer control the situations encountered during the exercise.
We supported M-Wheel Mobility from the project definition stage to structure the requirements, identify suitable technologies and define the simulator architecture. We then handled its design and implementation: mechanics, electronics, software, fabrication, assembly and testing.
In use
Users ride with physical controls, on a screen or in virtual reality. The trainer controls the situations from a touchscreen interface.
